Building forms

In our company, we have modeling / molding shops – i.e. places intended for making models by hand, finishing numerically created models (CNC) and for building molds.

 

Handmade models – created in cases of simple structures which do not require high dimensional accuracy.

 

CNC modeling – We create models from specially designed polyurethane modeling blocks or MDF. We make models based on provided 2D / 3D documentation or based on our own designs.

Sometimes it is necessary to create a one-off form (e.g. to make a prototype). In such cases we prepare cheap and quick to produce polystyrene or styrodur models.

 

Mold construction – We build composite forms based on low-shrink molding systems. The surface of the mold is finished to a deep gloss or light matt (satin). We have experience in designing and creating molds with a high degree of complexity, requiring surface divisions or designing places for vacuum connection and resin feeding (RTM).

 

Building molds with the reproduction method – 3D scanning – we build molds based on existing elements. The most common reasons for such orders are: the need to create documentation for existing products, deficiencies in 3D documentation, the need to improve hand-made models (e.g. to obtain symmetry, greater accuracy, add certain elements), mirror an existing product. We execute this type of order using a 3D scanner. Based on the model prepared specially for this purpose (the scanned element), a 3D drawing is created. Afterwards, we convert this type of drawing using specialized software. From the drawings obtained using this method, it is possible to execute new documentation and numerically (CNC) create models and then build molds.
